Medicare Made Simple

Medicare is a federal health insurance program primarily for people age 65 and older, as well as certain younger individuals with disabilities. While Medicare can feel overwhelming, our goal is to make it clear, simple, and easy to navigate—so you can feel confident in your coverage decisions.

The Four Parts of Medicare

Understanding each part helps you make informed decisions about your coverage

Part A

Hospital Insurance

Covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facilities, hospice care, and some home health services. Most people pay no premium if they’ve paid Medicare taxes while working.

Part B

Medical Insurance
Covers doctor visits, outpatient care, preventive services, and medical supplies. A monthly premium is required.

Part C

Medicare Advantage
Offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare. Combines Part A and Part B, often including prescription drug coverage and added benefits like dental, vision, and wellness programs.

Part D

Prescription Drug Coverage
Helps cover the cost of medications. Available as standalone plans or included with Medicare Advantage.

Supplemental Insurance (Medigap)

Original Medicare (Parts A & B) does not cover all costs. You may still be responsible for:
Medigap plans help fill these gaps, providing financial protection and peace of mind.
Why Medigap Matters
Predictable costs

Help avoid surprise medical bills

Freedom to choose

Providers anywhere Medicare is accepted

Travel coverage

Some plans offer emergency care outside the U.S.

Without supplemental coverage, out-of-pocket costs can add up quickly—especially for hospital stays or ongoing treatment. Medigap helps ensure your coverage works when you need it most.
